The World of feature film, "African Violet's Tears."
My feature thesis film I am working on, "African Violet's Tears," is a story about the horrors of female genital mutilation (FGM) and how it affects women everyday. The subtext of my film is really about one afraid, but courageous, African immigrant who deals with the scars of FGM affecting intimacy with her frustrated husband and eventually faces her fears to confront the wrong that was done to her.
I am campaigning now to produce my film budget. Information will be available as soon as we hit pre-production. Lets work together to stop FGM as it is still an ongoing problem around the world in many countries.
